2 Timothy 2:15
“Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth.” NLT
How will we handle God’s word? Can we explain it to others? Our calling as Christians is to know God’s word(what it says) and know how to use it(what it does).
There are too many false teachings leading people astray. It’s time that we look into the word for ourselves and prayerfully study it out to know what it says and be able to explain it to others.
If we did a sloppy job at work we would be ashamed if our boss found our work and how it was lacking. The same thought should should ring true in our relationship with God. He’s given us His word to know and to use and we should be ashamed if we are sloppy in how we use it.
Are we looking into the scripture daily? Do we know what the Bible says? Do we know what we believe and why? Or do we just live based on what “pastor said” or “mom and dad always said this...” or “grandma and grandpa said it this way”?
We need to know what the Bible says for ourselves and be able to explain that to people we come in contact with.
Be well read in the Bible. Know God’s word and be able to apply it. We are striving for God’s approval, not mans.
God help us to hunger for your word and give us the determination to study it out and know what it says and to be able to share it with others!
